Not really.... Though I MUST get my windows cleaned SOON! If I can just figure out how to get the screens out!

7. What is your weather *really* like right now? {Just b/c it's "officially" spring, doesn't mean that it feels like it for some of you}
Right now its raining, but this week the weather has been gorgeous! The sun has been shining and it has been in the upper 60's! LOVE it!

observations

As I am approaching the wise old age of 32 1/2, feel free to roll eyes now,  I have come to some conclusions. Women can be so nasty, malicious, and just down right mean. The high school girls are labeled "mean girls", yet I think even worse are the moms, or as I like to call them "meanie mommies". These women are happy about another's misfortune, judgments are constantly being passed, rumors run rampant, and the sneers, leers, and whispers are cut throat... They smile and appear to be sweet and genuine, but they are truly just vicious.

Why do women feel the need to bring each other down? Why do women find humor in another's nightmare? Is it insecurity? Jealousy? Boredom? Or are these women really just this vile? I just don't get it...

Trust me. I am by NO means considering my self to be perfect. (no one is) I have been known to enjoy some good scoop. (who doesn't?) I honestly can say though, that I have never been malicious and my intentions have NEVER been to be hurtful.  I have never found happiness in anothers hardship. Unfortunately, I was  friends with some of these meanies in the past (It was DREADFUL!) and their negativity nearly sucked the life out of me!

Now, I just try to glide by and do my own thing... staying below the radar, because I do NOT want to be a part of or hear the opinions of the meanie mommies. I quickly learned that that is not who I am... nor who I want to be.

Have you made some of the same observations? Or am I the only one?!

shake your groove thang....

shake your groove thang, yeah yeah
show em how to do it now...

Saturday night was a MUCH needed Mom's night out :) We started the night off with 9 of us out to dinner and had a blast. Yummy food and many laughs :) Then 4 of us headed out to a local watering hole for some cocktails, dancing, and some more cocktails! I had expected to be home around midnight, but I think it was 2:30 as I crawled into bed!! (pre-clock change)

After a few shots, (my old favorite: buttery nipples) I let loose and busted out with some booty bouncin, hip shakin, arms flailing moves. I was getting my groove on! (all my Zumba is paying off) I even, in true Staci fashion, managed to get into trouble! Did you know that you are NOT allowed to bring your drink on the dance floor? Yeah, I so DID NOT get the memo!

Anyway, it was lots of fun even though I looked like an aging party girl who lost her mojo ;)

After a few cocktails all of us "former" smokers... fell off the wagon... oops!

Why I will NEVER walk my poor old dog again....

I briefly mentioned taking my dog for a walk the other day, but what I failed to share was how adventurous this walk really was...

My pooch is OLD! Like REALLY old. He is a 14 year old golden retriever and is quite possible the BEST dog EVAH! If you can get past his stench and mangy-ness he is a sweet poochie. I decided to be a good dog owner and take him  for a walk since it was such a BEAUTIFUL day!
Murray about 7 years ago....

I hooked up the leash and we headed out The kids, me, and our beloved Murray.... I had hoped to make it around the block, but alas I set my expectations TOO high (as usual)! We made it to the stop sign... THREE doors down! Seriously. I do not jest. Three doors down!

Once we get to the stop sign, Murray lays down in the MIDDLE of the road and REFUSES to move! I am sweet talking him, pulling his leash, trying everything to get him up! But NADA. There he lays in the middle of the road!

In the distance I see a car coming and I am urging Murray to MOVE... At this point Anthony sees the car and FREAKS out! Fists clenched by his head, he jumps and  he screams.... "Murray MOVE!! Mommy the car is getting him!! MOMMY!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

During all the commotion, the car is quickly approaching and I am pulling the damn dog and FINALLY he moves.... about 6 inches! The car was able to pass and Murray escaped death...

Anthony is hysterical, my dog is playing dead, Madison is muttering and shaking her head, and I am swearing like a sailor under my breath smiling while PULLING with all my might. Finally, 30 minutes after we initially set out, we arrive home  and I vow to NEVER walk him again...

I have been laughing about this for days.... I wonder what my neighbors must think of our craziness!?!

Happy Birthday!!!

All through college, I baby sat for a very special family, through this "job" I gained a second family! It was the most fabulous experience and I am so lucky to have had them in my life <3 I gained 4 younger sisters, an older sister, and an older brother!

Today is one of the girls birthdays! She is growing up and I am so proud of her! I had hoped to visit her after school, but another commitment has arisen and I can't make it! :( I am so bummed!

I have been told she reads my blog each morning, as if its her daily newspaper, so I know she is reading this!! I thought it would be AWESOME if we all wished her a very happy birthday. So....

Happy Birthday Erin!

I hope your day is great and I wish I could spend it with you.... I will be down one day this week though! I love and miss you!!!! Check out the first pic.... I know you remember it well! <3

Oh Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Golden Sun....

Please Shine Down on Me!!!
****

Oh how I love the glorious sunshine and fresh air.... They just instantly brighten my day! Today was GORGEOUS! The kids and I spent all day outside and we were loving EVERY second! The ground was so soupy from all the melting snow, but that did not stop us. Galoshes were adorned and fun was had.... We rode bikes, walked, ran, and played... Chalk cities were constructed and our poochie was walked (if you can call it that. The poor old guy only made it to the stop sign and back) I even got to clean out my car and pick up the dog poo... (gross right? but I was so glad to get it all up!) The day was FAB and tomorrow is supposed to be even nice! I CANNOT wait! I am thinking its gonna be a park kinda day :) Hope you were all able to enjoy this beautiful day :)

Oh the places you'll go....

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose"
— Dr. Seuss (Oh, the Places You'll Go!)
One of my very favorite books! When I was graduating 8th grade, my Language Arts teacher read this to my class as we were preparing to go on stage...  It was touching and oh so relevant as we were leaving behind familiar middle school and embarking on a whole new undiscovered world: High School.

Last night I was reminded of this book (and of all the places we go!) as I lost Anthony.... Not once BUT TWICE!
I took the kids over to the mall last night for a Dr. Seuss celebration and it was a mob scene! There were SO many kids there!!! The kids were all sitting on the floor listening to stories, prize give aways, and a skit or two. They were LOVING it....

I was chatting with some girlfriends when I realized I no longer could see Anthony! Instantly we were scanning the crowd. But NOTHING! Then my friend, Sara, piped up....
Sara: There he is....
Me: (frantic) WHERE?!?
Sara: Up there. On. The. Stage!
Me: OMG! That boy.... and off I went to grab my stage crashing, smile cheesing,  microphone holding boy!

I allowed him to rejoin the kids but kept my eyes trained on his little behind.... Then Madison cried and I looked at her for 30 seconds and POOF He was GONE! I really could not find him. I searched EVERYWHERE. But nothing. I instantly went into panic mode. My heart was racing, I was sweating, I started to hyperventilate, and the tears were flowing. Where was my baby?!?! As I am frantically pushing my way through the crowd, a woman grabs my arm and says:
Woman: Mam, are you looking for the little boy that was on stage?
Me: Yyyeeesss.....
Woman: Honey, he's ok. He just crawled UNDER the stage!

Seriously?!?! Oh the places that boy will go! What am I ever going to do with him?

Go Speed... GO!

There used to be a time when I would get in my husband's car, and hold on for DEAR life. He has a mustang he used to race and needless to say it is all "suped" up.... The car is fast and he LOVES it; me? Not so much! I think its silly. It sits in the garage 95% of the time because God forbid a drop of rain touch it... (Did I mention is does not even have wind shield wipers?) Yes, there used to be a time when I would get in and hug the roll bars for dear life, praying that I would make it to our destination.... (In all actuality, I am most likely exaggerating, but it really FELT fast)

My husband likes fast things.... He used to have a sports bike, but totaled it when he was goofing of and going WAY too fast slowly hit some gravel. He has had three mustangs, if its fast he LOVES it....

Let's just say this need for speed carries over into his day to day. Jason is forever getting pulled over! No where near as much as he used to, but still quite a bit. He often gets let go (why I don't know, I ALWAYS get the ticket) On Friday, a letter came stating that if he acquires any more points he will have his license suspended... We thought nothing of it. No biggie. He has not been pulled over in at least 6 months and has been abiding the speed limit (for the most part)

Fast Forward to today. A certified letter arrives stating that Jason will lose his license as of March 8th UNLESS he completes a driving school by close of business FRIDAY! HE calls all the places and they only offer classes on Saturdays which obviously won't work.... The driving schools say that our state is KNOWN for last minute notifications.... Go figure... Jason FREAKED! I just laughed!

We finally found a driving school 2 hours or so away that is offering class on Wednesday, so hopefully our DMV will accept this class. Otherwise Mister Speed Racer will be riding his Huffy an hour to work each day.... There is NO WAY I am getting up at 4:30 to take his happy butt to work.... He should follow the rules like me....(those who know me know I say this mockingly because I am the QUEEN of rule BENDING :)
