- Totally got kicked off of Supah's Survivor! :( Totally bummed and my ego can barely take it ;) Really, though I was a bit disappointed, but at least I am still in the TV pool part :) Boston Rob is kick ass!!! I am looking forward to him winning the whole thing!
- The kids and I have been playing TONS of games.... We are a game playin fam! It's been super nice especially since my usually sore loser who I won't mention
Anthony, was not a poor sport! - I have been trying to plan Madison's THIRD (how in the world is she gonna be three) birthday... Invites have been selected, a theme has been picked (Strawberry Shortcake), and I have decided on a location: our house. I have only had a few home parties and each time I swear NEVER AGAIN, but I am going to give it one more go...

ho hum....
That's been my life the past few days. B.O.R.I.N.G! Boring can be a good thing, but this boring was just me being BLAH! Nothing exciting has been going on at Casa de Staci, so I will just give you a few low / high lights....

Survivor: Update and Challenge #2
I hope you all are watching Survivor each week (and cheering me on!!!) .... because I am ROCKING it! I won't lie I was a bit nervous as the previews showed my beloved Rob knocked out, but alas.... he was okay and helped win immunity once again for the Villains! Woohoo!!! Boston Rob is da bomb diggity NO DOUBT!
Sadly, my team did not win Supah's Valentine challenge, but I can feel it this week its villains ALL the way!
This week we need to crate a buff-on (aka button) that will be our Survivor identity.... Let's just say this is SO NOT my thing! I have about ZERO html experience and my digital photography skills are non existent, but I persevered and I think my buff-on is ok....
Each and every day at casa de Staci is about Survival.... Some days I do others not so much! My children are the sweetest of babes and I love them dearly, but OMG they keep me on my toes!
Each day I have to run through a gauntlet of train tracks, barbie shoes, hair bows, and race cars all while trying to make sure everyone is dressed, fed, and at least a little bit happy! I wipe boogers, kiss booboos, yell, laugh, and cry. I referee, read stories, cook, clean, and chauffeur. Every day has a challenge or four to complete.... Some I succeed and others I don't... I fall into bed exhausted but content each night and ready to do it all over again... My house is my island and most days I survive... I have been prepped, prepared, and tested for the past 4 1/2 years, its now time for me to show all I can handle.... Supah's Island is a vacay compared to my day. So bring it on! I WILL BE Supah's Ultimate Survivor!

oops! My bad... WAIT it wasn't me?
If you now my husband, you know he is anal about everything. Especially his cars. He meticulously maintains them and they are always clean. Then you have me.... My car is ALWAYS a mess and while I could care less it drives him over the edge.... He swears I just don't care about my stuff, blah, blah, blah....
About six months ago I was backing out of a driveway and NAILED someones mailbox. This over achiever didn't just tap it, no I ripped that baby right out of the ground! I almost DIED right there. INSTANTLY! The gouge in my truck was so obvious. It just glared at me throbbing like a sore thumb! There was no way to hide it so I fessed up.... Surprisingly Jason was not even a tiny bit mad!
I am sure you all remember "The Car Wash Incident". I mean really how could you not. It was a scene that only happens to me and at the most inconvenient of times.... Thankfully, Jason still has NO CLUE :)
Finally, a month ago I made a quick pit stop at the ATM, only to discover the bank was closed. Well, I pulled slowly through the NARROW drive-thru and scraped my passenger mirror along the brick column! (Why oh why do those mirrors stick out so far?) It sounded like Freddy's knives on a chalk board! And the scratches.... YIKES! Again, there was no mention! yahtzee....
Well, the other day I was walking up the driveway with the mail and noticed something. Something not good! Someone hit my car! GOUGES along the entire rear bumper! Deep red and white scratches! It was bad.... I rush inside to tell Jason, by god I was NOT taking the blame for this... His response?
"Yeah, I think I *might* have hit it with the snow blower the other day...."
The think and might had me laughing, but really all I know and care about is that it wasn't me!

Stop: Baking Time
A few years back, a very good friend of mine, Stephani, went into business on her own... a custom embroidery and screen printing business: Thread Perfection! For the past 4 years she has successfully ran this business (online and local) out of her home while raising her 2 young children. Recently, she has embarked on an exciting new journey and has leased a storefront. I am so excited for her...
Stephani has gotten some of the cutest items ever in lately... My favorite being these aprons.
OMG they are awesome! Steph was super sweet and sent Madison and I each one! (love her) Madison's has her name and mine is monogrammed.... One word: ADORABLE!
These would make the perfect gift and the quality is SUPERB! I love the ribbon detailing at the waist! So check out Stephani if you need any embroidery or screen printing work. She does GREAT work and has some really neat and unique products!!

Is she not just the cutest little model? The apron is not too shabby either! :)

Oh I rocked it last night!
I totally made fire BY HAND!
Well, last night was the kick off for Survivor! Did ya watch? If not you should have! In the first 10 minutes a shoulder was dislocated and a toe was broken. It’s gonna be BRUTAL!
We all know I am participating in Supah’s Survivor game and that I am the still a cutie, Boston Rob! I am a villain, but hey it’s ok…. Our team ROCKS! The villains are the best of the BEST and we kicked some hero’s butts in the immunity challenge! Have I mentioned, last night I started fire…. Yes people I made fire WITHOUT flint…. How’s that for awesomeness?!?!? (I have to admit I am a bit worried I will be out of the game for Medical because the previews showed my cutie patootie collapsed next week! Ouch!!)
Today was the first Supah’s Survivor challenge and we have been required to make a handmade Valentine with a poem for the lovely Harv…. I have to say mine is oh so cute and is sure to make him smile!
Be sure to tune in and root for me!
GO TEAM VILLIANS! :)

I am woman hear me roar!
I just had a MAJOR "I am woman hear me roar" moment!
Jason and I have very traditional man / woman roles in our house. For instance I DO NOT take out the trash. I NEVER mow the lawn. Car care? His job. I do most of the cooking and cleaning. His roles cross over into mine occasionally, but for the most part, I have my jobs and he has his…. It works for us…
Anyway, Jason will not be home until Thursday because he has to stay near his work. They are manned 24/7 and it is easier to stay close by when the weather is bad…. So I am left here with all this snow to deal with all by my lonesome!
Well, I totally just figured out how to start AND use the snow blower all by myself! I totally cleared my drivewaywhile dragging, pushing, and cussing the 500 ton machine with a bright and cheery domestic smile! It’s not perfect, but its clear and Jason will be able to pull in when her gets home Thursday night! Go me!
I just made a pitcher of pina coladas so I can celebrate my awesomeness while pretending to be on an island far far away from this white stuff! Now let’s not tell Jason so he does not get any ideas…. My helplessness works in my favor 99.9% of the time ;)

Wordless Wednesday
I'd rather be here:
Jamaica 2003
Or here:
Punta Cana 2004
Than here:
Snowmageddon 2010 (and another 12-20 inches are falling now!)
For more WW: Momspective, Five Minutes For Mom, 7 Clown Circus, MomDot, Wordless Wednesday , , Life @ 30, Three Peas in a Pod, & Conversations with Moms He said WHAT?!?!
Jason and I were bantering back and forth like we often do…. He said something and I laughed and told him he was RIDICULOUS!!!! Before he could respond Anthony piped up:
“Mommy, my daddy is not “dickless!”

Snow Day!
Unless you have been living in a cave, I am sure you have heard about the “historic snowstorm that paralyzed the Mid-Atlantic” and we have been in the midst of it! I believe we got about 3 feet of snow! Only about a foot of our 4 foot fence is showing. Jason has been outside for 2 days now with the snow blower digging us and the neighbors out. The kids and I were out with him, but we were just having fun playing!
We were able to venture out today, what a MESS!!!! There were cars plowed in all over the sides of the roads and ditches.... It was CRAZY! A lot of the roads were single lanes which is not fun when you are going UP and DOWN hills! We were shocked to find a big dodge diesel stuck....
We made it to the high school to sled and I am so glad we did! I have not laughed so hard in forever! We all had a blast! It has been YEARS since I went sledding! The last time I really remember sledding was at my high schools hill and I was in elementary school! It was so much fun!
I had to force Madison down the hill the first time, but once she went she was hooked! Anthony LOVED it! He ventured over to a hill that had a ramp built in and went flying into the air! I cringed as I just knew it was a BAD idea.... He rolled and landed face first and was not too happy! Once I knew he was okay, I laughed so hard I almost fell down the hill!
Madison would venture out into untouched areas and get stuck, so I was always on a rescue mission! We had so much fun and I think I may take the kids again tomorrow!

His poor chapped cheeks!
When do they grow out of that cheesey grin where they show all of their teeth!? :)
The crazy thing is I think they are calling for another 8-12 inches Tuesday! I need the sunshine!!!

Children are quiet...
…when they want to be! If your child/ren sleep by themselves, you know what I mean! Some days they burst into my room praising the sunshine others they quietly creep….
This morning they chose to creep ever so silently…
I was jolted form a sound and peaceful sleep by a HUGE crash this morning. Something broke and it was glass…. I jumped out of bed and before my feel hit the ground the screams began!!!!! I rushed downstairs to find a barstool pushed to the counter and Anthony standing on the counter amidst breakfast bars and yogurt! Glass canisters were stacked haphazardly beside him….
Within seconds I glance down and see Miss Madison plug in mouth and elephant in tow with BIG eyes. Her empty hand was pointing to the culprit of the crash….
One canister was broken into a million pieces. Before I could open my mouth she popped out the plug and said:
…and with that all hell broke loose!
Anthony instantly bursted into tears proclaiming his sorries, but continuously following up each sorry with:
I quietly, moved my babes out of the danger zone, swept up all the shards, and reminded them that when they wake up they must: A. Wake up Mommy or B. Play in the play room!!!! At that moment Jason graced us with his presence and back to bed I went!
I am confident that if your children sleep independently, you would be able to share a similar tale… I know my children are not the only sneaky mischievous ones!

An over heard conversation....
Jason was making himself some breakfast and his sidekick was watching every move....
Anthony: What's that dad?
Jason: An English muffin....
Anthony: oh.... (now staring at the english muffin intently)
Anthony: Hey dad, when's it gonna talk!"

Reason Number 672 why I am always LATE!
There was once a time, about 4 years and 5 months ago, that I was ALWAYS on time. I could not stand to be late. I was always right on time... You could always count on me! Then something changed or should I say someone was born...
Ever since I have become a mother I am late. Always. Tardy? Yeah that's me.... the tardy mommy. I hate it! It drives me crazy and it almost never is MY fault. Occasionally its the "I gotta poop" the second we are walking out the door, or a shoe is missing, or someone is in the midst of a diva moment....
Usually though its random, unforeseen, uncontrollable, ridiculous stuff that does not happen to most people. Only me. Tonight was no exception.
The snow is falling at a quick rate here and I really wanted to hit the gym tonight. Well once I realized we did not have any thing to eat I decided to pop in the grocery store for a few items. I left the house 45 minutes early so that I would make it to Spin class! . I was in and out the grocery store all because a super nice lady let me a head of her in line! YAHTZEE!!!
We are walking to the car like all normal people do when SPLAT! I look and there lies Madison in a HUGE MUDDY puddle. Instant tears! She had mud everywhere! Her coat, her pants, her shirt, her face! E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E!!!
Do I have an extra pair of clothes? No.... of course not! Do I have time to make it home and change her in the snow? No. So what, you may ask, do I do?
I head to the closest store possible, Family Dollar, and pick up an outfit.... and yes, I was then LATE to the gym!

Did ya miss me?
This past week has been a whirlwind! It was non-stop go go GO at casa de Staci!
- I have been hitting the gym like a rock star lately. I am not seeing great results (number wise), BUT those pesky saddle bags that have been hanging around since... well PUBERTY?!? Yeah, they are basically GONE! Not sure what has done it, but to my sweet surprise when I glanced at my big ole bum in the mirror I did a double take!
- We had an awesome family day... We went to the aquarium, had the oh so appropriate Hooters for lunch (hence why I do not see results number wise), got crazy at the science center (my favorite), and finished the day up at the planetarium. Our in house Galileo (aka Anthony) enjoyed every second! He was pointing out all the planets and some of the constellations. He and Jason are all into the whole "space" thing....
- After a late bedtime, my slumber was abruptly cut short by a wee little boy who barfed ALL night long! As soon as I would close my eyes, we were up again! Poor guy. Thankfully he made it to the toilet EACH time. I really wonder though... why does it ALWAYS strike at night? Amazingly, he was fine once the sun rose!
- I had two fun Mom's nights out... One was my monthly Pokeno game and I totally took home the cash! :) Made my day!
- Saturday we had 2 parties. One right after the other.... It was exhausting. And we got about six inches of snow when they were calling for a mere dusting! I am SO ready for Spring!
- Finally, Jason is redoing our office. It is a work in progress, but most of the painting is done, he still has to extend down all the molding, and we need to get all the accessories. The furniture is on its way! I am so excited to see it come together! It is BOLD for sure BUT I love it!
