Fun Firsts Fridays!!!

Our First Experience with S'Mores!

Daddy had to roast them because we were afraid to get too close.... (mommy was kinda relieved!)

hmmmmm..... They did NOT know what to think!

We had a TON of fun!!!

Yes, we used charcoal. We did not know where to buy wood.... Any suggestions?

So cute. We had a campfire this weekend and made s'mores too :) Mine opted out of the chocolate...so weird LOL. And I am right there with you on scary firepits and toddlers :)

Staci - We bought a fire pit this summer as well and have had great fun with it. Emma would have a "campfire" every night if we let her but we usually do this about 2 times a week. Have fun and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Katie loves smores, too! Grandma and her always make them when we are in Ohio. You can buy wood at 7 11 they sell it in a pack. It works fine for smores. Enjoy!!!

Do any of the gas stations or convenience stores carry firewood? They do here...but it's kind of pricey.

Love the pictures! To this day riley would rather eat marshmallows that haven't been roasted...he hates the sticky mess lol.

If you can't find a bundle of wood, you can always get a Duraflame log at WalMart/Target type place or the grocery store.

Growing up we ALWAYS toasted marshmallows with charcoal! Is that wrong? I have to say, I don't get into the whole 'smores' thing. I think it's the marshmallow. I can get behind the chocolate and the graham cracker though.
