What to do?

*******UPDATE: I called the hospital and they would not give me any info, so I ran over to one of her friends house's and she said that they do not know anything yet, she was headed to the hospital and will keep me posted.... I hope everything is okay....

This morning Anthony wakes me up and says he sees an ambulance. I said cool and rolled right on over! I just assumed it was on the main room you can kinda see from his window. This kid of mine has ambulance and firetruck RADAR!

Well about 20 minutes or so later he tells me:

A: Mommy you missed it, I saw an ambulance!

S: Cool buddy! Was it going fast?

A: No, just stopping at Miss Kathy's house.....

S: (full attention at this point) At Miss Kathy's house?!

A: Yes, she went to the doctor in the ambulance.

S: Really?!?

A: Yeah, she had on a fire mask. It was cool! (I am thinking an oxygen mask?)

S: What was she wearing?

A: moooooomy..... She was wearing a white blankie.... It was cool!

Back story: Miss Kathy is out much loved neighbor. She is like a grandmother to my kiddos! She is the best neighbor EVER!!! Yesterday she was released from the hospital (She had surgery on Tuesday....) She lives alone and her family is not here. She does have some friends here. I know where they live but no phone #'s.... Miss Kathy has 2 small dogs at home....

I think Anthony is telling the truth, because he gave too many accurate details and he never tells tales (I just don't think he has learned to yet! He is WAY too honest lol) What should I do? Should I call the hospital? I am just so worried!

I'm sorry to hear that, and I agree he is probably telling the truth. I would call the hospital just to be on the safe side. It can't hurt.

Oh yikes that's scary. Do you know if she has any family you could call and ask? I'd call the hospital if not, explaining that you're her neighbor and want to make sure everything is okay. I hope she'll be alright!

Yes call the hospital. First knock on her door and see if someone answers. If no answer, try the local hospital or ER and tell them your situation and that her family isn't around and you want to make sure she is ok. I did hear an ambulance this morning. Fairly early. Possibly around the 7am zone.

Keep us posted. Neighbors are so important and they become like family to us. I understand your worry.

Thanks everyone for thinking of her!! I really don't know much.... I think there may have been complications from the surgery... Myself and two of her friends have been helping take care of her pooches.... I hope she gets better and can comes home soon!
