Retail Therapy...

Do you partake? I do, at times.... This morning started out with a bang. My eyes were scratchy because I was still so tired, but I got up anyway.... While I am taking my shower the beasties are fighting and screaming and, you guessed it, CRYING! As I am getting dressed I realize that I have no clothes, everything looks like crap, and that I am fat, so I burst into tears.... I leave the closet so that I can, for dramatic effect, throw myself on the bed and sob, but I stop in my tracks. One beastie, who will remain anonymous, emptied and unfolded 6 loads of laundry. Clean clothes were strewn All. Over! (I am behind on the putting away aspect okay.. Don't judge ;) Jason came in because he knew I was about to lose it. I sobbed and he cleaned up. I finally pulled myself together. Put on a MAJOR fashion DON'T and headed to MOPS....

Well this afternoon, I fully intended on some much needed retail therapy. I left the kids home with their father and I hit the mall. I found some FAB deals in Gymboree. Bought a few things in Target for birthday gifts, and headed home. It was great!

However, I realize that I did not solve MY dilemma. I still have NO clothes.... But my daughter, whose closet is OVER flowing, got three outfits! Go Figure!! :)

You said like me. Katie has more clothes that 5 girls together. I HATE putting laundry away. Hope your day gets better.

You are NOT fat! I'm glad you got away by yourself for a few hours. I hope tomorrow is a better day.

figures huh? Free time to yourself and still thinking about those little beasties! Next time try to get yourself at least one thing.

I hope tomorrow is a better day!!

Why is it that I'm always buying clothes for the kids? I guess somehow I feel less guilty when I buy them things--and more guilty when I have to try on the next size higher in the jean's department.

Sounds like that retail therapy worked, at least you could smile about it all and you got a much needed break :)

P.S. Laundry is the bane of my existence. No judgement here.

I do the same thing! I am constantly buying things for Aiden and never get anything for myself even though I need it more! LOL And i completely understand the laundry thing. I really don't mind to fold it, but putting it away is such a pain!

Good Lord, woman, this is the story of my life! I particularly liked the dramatic effect of flinging yourself across the bed. Too funny!

Don't you just hate those days when everything you put on makes you feel like crap??? I have those days often!

Next time buy yourself some clothes! But I do the same thing, I think every mother does.
