one reason moms feel guilt....

All week they kids and I have done activities. We have played games, played toys, painted, went to open gym, etc. It has been a busy week.... My house shows how busy we have been! This morning, I have been cleaning upstairs. The kids have been playing. All has been happy! I start vacuuming and Anthony has a HISSY fit because I won't "build tracks" (play trains) with him. He completely LOST it! It was a big bad tantrum so he went to time out and I continued to vacuum. When I finished I asked if he was done screaming and I said I needed to clean and we'd play later... He says and this is what makes moms feel guilty.

"I'm sorry mommy.... Are you done vacuuming?"

"Yes"

With his big browns all hopeful, "You build tracks now peas?"

UGH! Breaks my heart and makes me feel so bad.... Of course cleaning is on hold AGAIN and we played tracks....

Its hard to find that balance b/t spending time with your kids and keeping up with the house. Sometimes I just like to do nothing but hang out at home... a little cleaning...a little playing... and little...oh you get it. LOL....

Anthony knew you would rather build tracks :) lol

Darn those big puppy dog eyes...I got them last night too. No relaxing for us mamas because that time will have to be spent doing the cleaning lol.

The mommy guilt is wicked. It's close to impossible to keep life around the kids running smoothly when all they want is just some company. You're a good mommy for stopping the chores and playing instead!
