My Disney Moments

Our trip was FAB. My kids were amazed and to see them experience the magic of Disney was truly priceless. So many people said they wouldn't remember the trip, but it was all worth it because Their faces, laughter, joy will be with me FOREVER! I won't bore you with all the details. I will just share a few special moments...

1. Pushing the alligator!

Everyday, multiple times per day, Anthony and Madison ran down the hotel hallway screaming "I push da alligator (aka elevator) dis time" They did good with turn taking :) Madison did push the alarm button more than once though :(

2. Can't hardly EXCITED!

These are the words Anthony shouted each morning as he patiently waited for us to hit the parks. He would stare out the patio doors watching the monorail pass (yes they honored our room request :) saying over and over "I can't hardly excited!"

3. Overcoming Fears

This was a big moment. Madison is so shy and I ALWAYS worry that her shyness will make her miss out on things she would enjoy. Well, she is overcoming that! Madison would stand up, dance, and strut her stuff in front of hundreds of people. She did not care who was watching she was joining "her fwends" (the characters) and not missing out! I was so proud! She also learned to do things independently, without her BIG brother... :)

4. Participation

Both of my kids did not miss a single opportunity where they could interact with the characters. They joined in on all the meal parades, all the shows, they even pony raced around the restaurant. The laughter and smiles will forever be etched in my mind!

5. Little Miss Helper

Animal kingdom had a fun little petting zoo. Instead of kids just rushing from animal to animal, the workers gave the kids a job. They had to brush the animals so that they could be clean... Madison took it one step further. She would scoop up dirt, place it on the animals back, just so she would have "something" to "keen!" Silly girl....

6. Nemo OBSESSION

I have learned that I am going to have to get over my boycott of the B-more aquarium. My kids are OBSESSED with fish, aquariums, and EVERYTHING Nemo! We literally had to drag them away from the tanks and we visited them multiple times during out trip!

7. I am still COOL!

During one of our long waits, Anthony was getting antsy so we started to play Simon Says. All the kids within seeing / hearing distance joined in. I overheard one little girl ask her mom why she never played games like that "cool mom?!?" I felt bad for the mom, but it did feel good to be seen as that "cool" mom for once... Usually I am "that lunatic mom!"

8. IRONY

One of the few things I remember about my childhood trip to Disney was the tantrum I threw because I DID N.O.T. want to ride the Its a small world ride. B.O.R.I.N.G! Yeah, my kids wanted to ride it over and over again! So being the cool mom that I am ;) we did!

9. Our DRIVE

My children made the 12 and a half hour trip with very few complaints.... Who am I kidding! They were AWESOME in the car! Madison got a little crabby the last hour on the way home, but other than that they ROCKED it!

10. My final everlasting Disney Moment that I will NEVER forget......

On the way home, a bird flew into our car that was traveling 90 MPH and was decapitated... Feather flew as did body parts... BLECH!

There you have it... My Disney Moments....

P.S. I almost forgot, one classic moment was watching my son totally chatting up a tween girl who sat by him during the Lights, Motor, Action show. I swear by the end he was practically sitting in her lap and holding her hand!

I'm glad you had a good time! I'm still bummed about your Chef Mickey's experience. That was the 1st thing I told Tom when he got home and even he was surprised!! Next time you go, you'll have to give it another chance!! Plus, you still have to check out the PhilHarMagic and Pecos Bill! :)

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ride It's A Small World!!! When we took my nephews to Disney 2 summers ago I made the entire family go on it and when we got off, my older nephew turned to me and said, "Aunt Brandy that was the lamest ride ever". I didn't know which I wanted to do more - cry or laugh!
