Let me preface this by saying, in September I was in Myrtle Beach in a house right on the beach when Hurricane Hanna hit.... I slept through the whole thing and it made landfall in the middle of the night. The house was on stilts and had a slight sway to it and the toilet water splashed around a bit, but other than that it was a quiet night....

This takes us to last night... Holy Crap! It sounded like my house was being ripped from the foundatiuon. The wind whipped, howled, and destroyed all night long. It is still blowing hard today. I know of quite a few people whose homes have been damaged. Thankfully we look to be okay... Our only issue was lost trash cans, but my awesome neighbor went out in the wee hours of the morning and hunted hers and ours and brought them home... ;) I love her!

As I was driving to the gym this morning, trees were down, light poles were bent, and so many houses had siding ripped away, or gutters missing. A trash can came out of no where and slammed into my truck... It is a windy day in surburbia.... I should have fun driving into the city tnight!

I hate strong winds like that! Glad your neighbour brought your trash can back.

Nothing around here (especially our houses) are built to withstand winds over 10 mph LOL LOL... well I am only speaking for dan ryan homes LMAO :) I have at least $2000 worth of damage. Consider yourself VERY lucky! that wind came up from the creek like a tunnel and rammed right into my house!!
