Today we went to a local indoor playground and had a BLAST! The kids had a great time. There were no more than 6 kids there at any given time so it was really nice!!
About a half hour before we left, 2 moms came with their kids and sat down chatting away. They were so not watching their kids. Well, one of the little boys clocked Anthony in the head / face with this long strip he ripped up from a mat. Anthony's poor face and ear were bright red and he cried... I think that was the first time a kid was actually purposely mean to him. In his 3 short years he has never been hurt by another child on purpose, (by accident yes, but never on purpose) Ant got over it quickly, but I felt bad for him... poor guy.
The mom apologized by the way (good for her) but did NOT even correct her kid.... (He continued hitting kids with the strip.....)

UGH! I'm so tired of parents just not doing their job and letting others do it for them! So frustrating!
I've had problems with kids hitting when visiting indoor playgrounds... I think a lot of moms get distracted and don't watch their kids very well at places like that. At least she appologized, but that is weird that she didn't correct her kid!
Why can't parents watch their kids???? That irks me. She should've made the boy apologize and she should've yanked the strip out of his hand and made him sit out for a little bit. Grrr. Poor Anthony.....and he doesn't have a mean bone in his little body to fight back or did he? :) You mentioned this playground yesterday. Where in CT is it?? How much to go?
Lazy ass parents! I am so glad you let us know about this gym! I am pumped!!
