Today was weigh in day... Last week I forgot being that it was Christmas Eve.... Well, I am DOWN 1.6 pounds since the last weigh in (2 weeks ago). Not too shabby considering I have been majorly slacking all the way around.... hollah......

Can I Catch a Break.... Please!

So yesterday I became ovenless. Jason ordered new glass and it will be fixed soon. (woohoo) At least I have the grill, or so I thought! Tonight, I start the grill, let it heat up, grab my chicken, and head out to be the grill master. Guess what I see, the whole freaking grill on FIRE!!! WTF! I ran in the house to get Jason because I didn't know what to do... So now the grill is toast too! (for now anyway) UGH!

Can someone tell me why.....

You Have Got To Be Kidding Me?!?!?!?!?

Tonight, I heard a pop and then a shatter. I just knew the kids broke something (imagine that).... Off I go to investigate, but all I see is two little devils angels quietly playing watching TV in the family room. I look around and find nothing... I was a bit perplexed, but the thought left my mind as I went to solve World War 3 that broke out in the family room...

Fast Forward to 9 o'clock-ish... I grab my baking stone from the stove and go to put it back in my wall oven.... What do I discover? The freakin' inside glass of the oven door is shattered into a million freakin' pieces! The worst part, this summer the same thing happened. I should have remembered that pop and shatter noise. So, now both my upper and lower ovens are TOAST!!!! UGH!!! My parents are coming in town on Thursday and I will be ovenless.... I need a Xanax....

Mean Mommy Am I....

Anthony was washing his hands last night after painting.... He went to grab the sprayer.... Just as I was saying "Don't touch that" he grabbed and squeezed. The water sprayed him right in the face. I busted out laughing. He was so shocked he didn't let go and continued to get drenched.... I took the sprayer and he just sputtered.... I was CRACKING up. He looked up at me with water droplets on his long lashes and said "Dats not funny mommy. Eyes all wet now" and then the tears came. I gave him a big old hug, but I was laughing quietly the whole time....

The kids and I drove to my old stomping ground yesterday. We survived the 2 1/2 hour drive with minimal tears and LOTS of Thomas! (Whatever works...right?) It was great to see my NJ family... It had been WAY too long since I last visited. A few of my cousins had never even seen my kiddos :0 It was nice and now that my kids are more portable I will make many more solo trips I am sure!

On my way to my aunts, I passed my old house, my old high school, all the places I knew for most of my life. I LOVE where I grew up. However, it amazes me each time I go back how small everything is, how old everything is... how close everything is... I left there 14 years ago and it is so different from how I remember!

AB Update

Oh. My. Gawd. My stomach is freakin' KILLING me! I only made it partially through the 5 minute torture miracle and I almost DIED. Today I still hurt! That has to be good... Right?

Merry Christmas!

Twas the afternoon before Christmas,

It really doesn't seem like Christmas, somehow it happened upon us so very quickly. Today I have been checking things off of my things to do in order for Christmas to happen here list and I have been staying busy :) After dinner we are going to play some games, watch a movie, feed the reindeer, and just enjoy being together! It is going to be RELAXING (I hope) I cannot wait to read my favorite Christmas book 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids!

Things I HAVE to do tomorrow....

Gawd... I am a SLACKER this year. I don't know what my deal has been, but I'll blame it on the PMS :P

Tomorrow I have to:

1. Make reindeer with the kids
2. WRAP GIFTS (I know I was supposed to do this already, but the internetz swallowed me)
3. Put Santa's gifts together
4. Make Christmas Eve dinner
5. Go to the mall and CVS for a few last minute things.... (I WILL SURVIVE)
6. Be sure to set out cookies and reindeer food
7. Charge both video and regular cameras

I think I can manage. Thankfully, Jason will be home....

That is what I encountered when I went to get Madison from nap yesterday. My usual happy girl was wailing away. The reason for her crying? She stripped completely naked and peed all over her crib, the crib toys, EVERYTHING! The poor girl was cold and poor mommy had a mess!

What. Was. I. Thinking?

I woke up at 5:30 this morning (the sleep fairies are trying to see how I function on as little sleep possible) with a panicked feeling. Christmas is in 3 1'2 days and I have not wrapped a SINGLE gift! I need to get my booty in gear... like NOW! I will be a wrapping fool at nap time today... yay! (note the sarcasm...) On a brighter note, I am making reindeer food and Christmas Crack with the babes this morning. They are so going to LOVE making the reindeer food!

What were you doing at 1:15 a.m.?

I was scouring my bathroom looking for my pack of birth control pills that have ALWAYS sat on the sink next to my toothbrush holder.... For some odd reason they weren't there....

Twenty minutes later they were located: In the bottom of the box of tissues that sits on my sink!

He is so crazy!

I wish you could hear all the sound effects he was making... I almost died laughing!

Gingerbread Train

Our fantastic neighbor gave our family a gingerbread train kit. The kids were so excited! Anthony begged and pleaded for the "train cookies". Finally, last week we had a chance to complete it. The kids did great. I did the frosting and Jason assisted the kids in the candy placing. We cheated a little and only gave them one bowl of candy at a time. (Otherwise it would have been complete chaos!!) Anthony did great. He meticulously placed each candy. Madison meticulously placed each candy in her mouth! :) We all enjoyed it and I plan on making one each year!

Wednesday Weigh In

This week I am down .6 pounds. I am still maintaining with little exercise and I have been eating terrible! My new elliptical is here and I plan on getting back into my routine! After the holidays I am kicking it into HIGH gear... :)

Ohh Ahhh Wow...

It was BEAUTIFUL here yesterday! (today is cold and crappy today, but yesterday was awesome!) We decided to take advantage of the warm night and go see a light show. We had to drive a little over an hour, but no biggie. There was an almost 3 mile drive of lights, carnival rides at the end, snacks, hot chocolate, and Santa. I was pumped. Anthony was uber excited to "wide da wides", Jason was rolling with it, and Madison had no clue but was up for the adventure.

We get there and the lights were awesome. The kids LOVED every second. Madison just kept saying "WOW!" Anthony kept saying, "Mom, you see it? You see da lights?"

We get to the end and there is nothing. Nada. Zilch. No rides, no hot chocolate, and no Santa. Flaky me didn't read the web site fully. All the above mentioned activities are only Thursday-Sunday. Anthony was so disappointed. He LOVES rides. Thankfully, a stop at Mc. D's for ice cream and play time on the biggest play land I have ever seen, made up for it...

I heart the UPS man!

Today he brought me not one but TWO packages... One was my fantabulous gymbo order (everything is perfectly adorable) and the other was the ornaments I ordered from Pottery Barn Kids (Thanks Sara!) The ornaments are too cute and will make a nice addition to my parents gifts from the kiddos!

Good mail days are my favorite... is anyone else as crazy as me and eagerly await the mail each day? I swear getting something "good" can totally make my day! I feel a wee bit loserish for admitting that small little fact :O

The scoop on poop...

The house was quiet. My escape was near... Jason was asleep, Madison was asleep, Anthony was singing quietly. He was going to doze any minute. I crept silently to the door, and away I went...

When I get home, I see Anthony's bedroom door is open, no biggie. I knew he was in bed with daddy. As I opened my bedroom door I am greeted by a squeal and Anthony rushed over. That's when I noticed something was off.

He was wearing only his undies and they were not the undies he had on that morning...

S: Jase, why's he only in undies
J: *very nonchalantly I might add* You'll see.
A: I pooped Mommy!
S: Where?
J: He finger painted...
S: What!?!
A: I poop on the room mom....

At this point Jason sits up and informs me that my son crapped his pants, and proceeded to grab bits and pieces of CRAP out and smear it on the walls, the door, and on his train tracks! He did not remove the crappy undies, he just kept sticking his hand in to grab chunks of his supply... UGH!

S: YOU DID WHAT!!!!!
A: I pooped mommy...

I go in his room and see that Jason cleaned it up except for some smears he missed on the train tracks. Downstairs I go to get a bucket of hot bleachy water and some rags... I scrubbed and soaked and scrubbed some more... I was disgusted!!!! I ousted every possible surface. The room has been seriously disinfected, yet I still can't get the fecal matter hebbie jibbies gone...

Sunday's Seven

1. I learned how to play 4 square at 30 years old.
2. I remembered how I really suck at games involving a ball and hand eye coordination...
3. My mixer broke. Black smoke came out and then it just died. (just one more reason to purchase a Kitchen Aid)
4. I cleaned and organized ALL of my kids toys.
5. I actually read and ENJOYED the book I was reading! (I miss reading)
6. Madison had speech and she has been using more words regularly! :)
7. I finally ordered the doll house Madison is getting for Christmas!

silent night....

Anthony talks and walks in his sleep A LOT... Especially when he's tired. Today he is exhausted. About 30 minutes after he went to bed he cried out. The first time I listened but it was the one yell. The second time the same thing. The third time he was yelling and whining so up I went. I leaned on his bed and asked what was wrong....

S: What's wrong bud?
A: eyes still closed curled in a ball.... I sick.
S: What hurts babe...
A: Its my feelwins... My feelwins hurt...

He then rolled over and started snoring...

She's so cheeky...

Madison has to do EVERYTHING by herself. Whatever you do, DO NOT help her... Her screams will pierce your ears from 2 miles away! This morning she refused a diaper and wanted her panties... Fine, whatever no big deal. I give her the panties, but she would NOT let me help her... She sat on the floor putting them on for a good 20 minutes. After she got them on, I looked over at her, and this is what I saw...


Note: I have not felt like potty training her... I nknow I NEED to do it, I just am not quite up to the challenge. After the new year sounds good....

Can I get a...

what what.... :) The toys have been purged! All of the baby toys will be making their way out the door. It makes me sad, but I just can't keep all of this stuff. I swear it multiples overnight! If, and that's a BIG IF, we decide to have some more rug rats, I will just have a reason to buy new things!

Now, I need to call some teen pregnancy and single mom organizations and see if they would like some toy donations...

Reason 1,294 I can no longer eat fast food:

When we pull up to the drive thru and I roll down my window, Anthony yells "I have a number 1 and diet coke...please? Thank you sirs".

It is ridiculous that my three year old knows how to order at a drive thru! I have to stop eating that CRAP!

I need your help! I am stuck on one small thing in this book... I have read and reread this chapter and I still don't get it... What exactly happens to Edward in the sunshine? It is bugging me like CRAZY! Does he just get real shiny? I feel like there is more, but I am just missing it. So, HELP A SISTER OUT! Please :)

Wednesday Weigh In!

It's weigh in time! Oh how I dread most Wednesdays! lol.... Well, this week I am down .4 pounds. Not too much. I am maintaining though; which is good considering I have not really exercised! I am a SLACKER!!!! I plan on stepping my game up... soon! Hopefully after the holidays I will be spending crazy amounts of time on the elliptical machine (fingers crossed!) I really want to lose 4 more pounds and would be over the moon to lose the final 9!

BUSTED!

All of our Christmas gifts are in a closet in the playroom. The closet door is locked and the kids can't get in there... All my gift wrapping stuff is in there as well. During nap the other day, I wrapped a gift. No biggie. When the kids woke up, they had snack and went upstairs to play (love the upstairs playroom by the way!) I took advantage of the few minutes and got online.

As I am surfing, I hear Anthony:

A: Oh boy! Good gracious... mom look at dat!
S: wow (only half listening thinking he found a long forgotten toy)
A: Mommy, I need help. Here mommy I showed you... (I hear him struggle but again half listening)
S: okay... in a minute. I'll be right there... (completely absorbed by what I am reading probablly someones blog lol)
A: Help me mom. I comin. Anthony be right over....

At this point I start paying attention because I can hear him lugging something big. I walk over to the staircase and see him carrying the Thomas Morgans Mine Adventure Set from "Santa"

S: *gasp* ANTHONY... You can't have that baby....
A: *instant tears* But why mom?
S: That's Collin's birthday present (liar liar pants on fire)
A: Okay (still cryin) MAAAAAD (meaning Madison)... we can't do dat. Its Collins birday present....

At this point I take the big box rush into the playroom and see Madison sitting in a pile of their Christmas gifts! I left the freakin' closet door open! OOPS! So busted!!! Thank God they are still small and won't fully understand and remember...

I was on my elliptical machine the other day and the kids were playing... They kept bugging me and I am terrified that they are going to stick their itty bitty fingers on the elliptical track thing so I told them (well yelled really) to go play... Off they went , but not 3 seconds later Anthony comes back...

S: "Go play Ant"
A"Wait a sec mom"
S:Ant, I need you to go play, Mommy is almost done...
A"But wait a sec mommy wait a sec"
S: "What!!"
A: "Mommy downstairs, da phone is calling for you"

Embarrassed

I was almost in 2 car wrecks (minor ones) the other day with two different neighbors... I was backing out of the driveway and so didn't look and was almost hit by a car coming up the street (he was flying though...) I about died because he wailed on his horn... I stopped and pulled out after he passed completely red faced :0!

Then, later that night, my hubby California stopped at a 4 way, didn't see the car so he went. Well, the car must not of seen us either because we were centimeters apart... I was AMAZED that we didn't hit! But again it was a neighbor... geesh! It's bad enough to "almost" wreck, but to almost hit 2 different neighbors?!?!?

The best part was, when Jason slammed on his brakes, Anthony yells in a sweet voice, "Come on cars... get movin, PLEASE!" I about died...

Cards are complete!

Whew... I just finished my cards, (Through Snapfish Thanks Jen!) and I will pick them up at Walgreens tomorrow! I also found a $10 off of %25 code so it was only $21... Yay! They will be stamped and addressed tomorow and in the mail Monday! Relief is all I can say!

I have to say...

both of my children surprised me. They were very well behaved. We had a few monir screams, but nothing too crazy. I am very proud of my two little monsters! I was too quick to judge!

Of course today is the day that my children are being whiny butt heads...
Of course today is the day I need them to not nap... (even though I am the Nap Nazi)
Of course today is the day THEY really need a nap... (Instead of me needing them to nap)
Of course today both children will likely embarrass me because they will throw fits, scream, fight, and cry in the middle of a birthday party all due to the fact that they are tired...

THE card that never happened

It's still freakin' blurry! I have NO clue what I am doing wrong, but you get the gist!

The Christmas Card Debacle

I was so excited, my cards were complete. I had made them uber cute in scrapblog. I LOVED them. Well, when I uploaded them to Shutterfly to print something must have gone wrong because they look like CRAP! I can't figure out why... Jason looked at what I uploaded and it was only a 100k file (My pics are 2mg by themselves... I am so disappointed, but it is what it is. I am going to buy some from CVS and be done with it... Maybe next year! :) I am going to post the card here because I think its cute and looks fine on the computer! :)(Plus, I worked on the damn thing FOREVER so I have to let someone see it!)

My day started pout great. I cleaned (my whole freakin' house sparkles. That's how much cleaning I did), the kids have been great, I worked out... It was all good.

That is until I went to watch Brothers and Sisters on my DVR. The DVR is broke, (one reason I love TiVo and HATE comcast's crap) Comcast can't fix it, and I am distraught. They are sending a tech out tomorrow to see if they can fix my box... Keep your fingers crossed. Otherwise I will miss out on 4 Gossip Girl eps (my fave). The rest I am missing I can watch online... I will be so disappointed if I can't see my GG....

Movies are never as good as the books, so I have to read before I watch...

And to top it off, Anthony shooed me out of his room tonight with an "Outcha ya go mom. Outcha go" because he didn't want me in the room during story time. Totally hurt my feelings!

I am off to bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Twilight

Okay so this book and movie are every where I turn. I mean peeps are constantly talking about it. I feel like such a loser because I have no clue what its about... I am an AVID reader, like I read constantly... dorky I know but I love me some chic / mommy trashy mindless books. They are fun and entertain me... So I am shocked I have not yet read these books. I am getting on the band wagon. Like now. I am buying and reading this book(s). Movies are never as good as the books, so I have to read before I watch... I hope they live up to the hype!

Wednesday Weigh In

Well, well, well, its that time again. Time to face the scale! I totally skipped last week. I couldn't bring myself to do it. I just knew it was going to be bad after all the awesome food I ate in Charleston... I am up .4 pounds since the last weigh in. Not too, too, bad. I need to start eating better and exercising more. I have lost a total of 5.9 pounds since I started keeping track of my day to day weight October 17th though so that is good. I am hoping to do better this week... Wish me luck!

Useless fact of the day...

If you look at the moon tonight, the two brightest things are Venus and Jupiter... They won't be seen as bright or together for 17 years... It's kinda neat to live with a space guy. He teaches me so much ;)

tubby time tears

Each bath night, when it comes to wetting or rinsing hair I have major water works... Anthony cries "cuz I scared" and Madison follows suit because she is a major copy cat! Well we were given these cool tub tints. I must say they are AWESOME! Amazingly there were NO tears during bath time and the best part... there was NO mess left behind for me to clean up. I think this would be an AWESOME stocking stuffer!

We survived and no one was injured!

This is a big deal for us... We rarely enter the restaurant realm. We are more or the "take out" kinda people! (Well, since we had kids) Anthony was in a phase where he was horrible and ultimately EMBARRASSING in restaurants and it was a pain in the butt to drag all the "baby" stuff for Mad, so we just stuck to take out... Well, tonight we ventured out and it was a SUCCESS!!! The kids were well behaved (Anthony only had to be spoken to once and that in itself is a miracle!) We had a great time and I am happy to say we will be entering restaurants more often! No more take out for me! Bye bye soggy cheese fries hello crispy greasy ones! WOOHOO!

Big Ups!!

Two boys in my life have had BIG days today!

First, a sweet little boy had his third birthday! It is amazing how time flies! I remember when he was just 5 months old... Happy Birthday little guy!!!

Next, my hubby has officially completed his B.S. in Software Engineering. I am so proud of him and all his hard work!

I had forgotten that Brit Brits new documentry was on last night, but I was kindly reminded... I dashed upstairs and set my tivo. (Yes, I know. I can't help it. I became obsessed when she had her babes since we were preggo at the same times and when she became a train wreck. I am glad she's better, but my selfish side misses when her trainwreck entertained me, but I digress....)

This morning I was PUMPED! I had something GOOD to watch while I did my elliptical... BUT (there's ALWAYS a but...) I tivoed the wrong freakin' thing! UGH!!! I tivoed the stupid countdown to Brit's documtry that was on the hour prior. I was not a happy elipticaler this morning!

At least tivo is supposed to tivo the right thing tonight... it better!
